The Anti-Diet Zealot.

Spending time this week at the IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals aka my people) conference. I will be back soon with many more tools in my toolbox. In my absence, please note what I think about diets:

I love this picture, and I love your perspective. I am on my 4th "journey" through weight loss right now. The first came in college when I made a commitment to lead a healthier lifestyle by making healthy eating choices and exercising regularly. Since it wasn't a "diet", it stuck with me for 8 years. Then, I gained an appropriate amount of weight with each of my pregnancies and was able to do the same thing to get back to "normal" each time. I have lots and lots of family members who "diet" over and over and over and never really make a lifestyle change. I LOVE food...always have and always will; I just had to teach myself balance. I hope I can teach my children the healthy attitude about eating that you've expressed here!

Thanks for stopping by Elizabeth :-) Glad you found something outside of diets to promote health. If long for more info to support your health quests, I encourage you to check out the Health at Every Size community (great website is haescommunity.org) for more on promoting health outside of diets and weight. Great messages for us to pass onto our wee ones :-)
